Watchdog to help police investigate PepsiCo document case

BERLIN, Jan 18 (PRIME) -- Russia’s Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Oversight will help the law enforcement authorities to investigate an alleged receipt of the watchdog’s internal documents by the U.S. PepsiCo, Director Sergei Dankvert told reporters on Thursday.

“The Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Oversight will take corresponding actions in association with the law enforcement bodies,” he said and added that an internal probe has already showed, which department leaked the documents.

In December, the watchdog accused PepsiCo of getting its internal document illegally and said later it suspected the company of a hacker attack. PepsiCo denied all accusations.
